We are all working really hard in Maths this week. We started by thinking about odd and even numbers and remembering it is the last digit which determines if a number is odd or even. We then moved onto multiplying and dividing by 5 and 10. As part of the Year 2 Curriculum, it is expected that children know their 2, 5 and 10 times tables. As much practise with these at home as possible would really support the children. A fun activity we have enjoyed in class has been using our times table cards and asking a friend a question such as 'What is 5x2? Our friend then has the challenge of finding that multiplication card and turning it over to reveal the answer.
