Smartie Bar Graphs

The Year 2 children have been working hard in maths today to create their own bar graphs.  They used tubes of smarties to see how many of each colour was in the tube.  They completed a tally chart and then transferred this information to their graph.  

Class Assembly

The children in Year 2 performed their class assembly this morning which was all about Maths.  

Major General Calculate had come to inspect the troops but not for their usual uniform check.  The soldiers were put through their paces to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding of various mathematical concepts, including number bonds, times tables, fractions, measuring and shapes.  

The children have worked incredibly hard to learn not only their script but four catchy songs and lots of movement.  They all looked fabulous in their costumes and really did give 100% for their final performance. 

Thank you to all of the parents for helping to learn lines and providing some wonderful costumes.

Well done to all of the children - I am very proud of every one of you!
