Fun in the woods
On Friday, the children had lots of fun exploring the beautiful autumn colours of our woods.
Sukkot
The children have been learning about the Jewish festival of Sukkot. As part of this, the children were interested to learn about the temporary huts that the families build during this celebration. The children had a go at making their own examples in the woods.
Wedding Collages
As part of the IPC unit 'Celebrations', the children have been thinking about how weddings have been depicted over time.
They have looked closely at some examples of work from famous artists and have compared these pictures to photographs that they have brought in from home.
Having compared these pictures, the children have created some collages to frame these lovely photos. They have used a range of different materials and have discussed the types of shapes and colours used for confetti to help them with their designs.
The children have worked hard on these collages and are proud to show off their work.

Another Success for Darcey-Rue!
Darcey-Rue has been a busy little girl over the last few weeks and on Monday night she performed at Darlington Hippodrome for the performance of 'One Night Only'. She had a fantastic time and loved every moment of the experience. Here is a picture of her just before she went on to the stage.

Year 2 Achievements
Over the weekend two of the Year 2 girls competed in competitions and did exceptionally well. We are all incredibly proud of their achievements. Well done girls!
Louisa
Louisa competed in the League 2000 cycling league, which is a regional cycling league for children under the age of 17. They undertake, bike skills challenges, time trials and races at Middlesbrough cycling circuit. Louisa finished top girl in the age 6 and under league and finished 3rd overall in the championship (There were about 16 in her league).
Darcey-Rue
Darcey - Rue spent the weekend competing in various dancing competitions and came home with lots of trophies. She came 2nd in her lyrical dance, 2nd in her troupe dance, and was awarded a further two 4th place awards.
