English:
- Learning about and making compound nouns
- Continuing with our unit of work all about Poetry. This week we will be writing Shape Poems all about Easter
- Comprehension activity 'A Monster Surprise'
- Daily reading
- Regular spelling practise
- Handwriting
Maths:
- Comparing lengths of different objects. Identifying which object is 'longer' and which is 'shorter'
- Ordering objects according to length
- Using the symbols <, > to compare two lengths
- Using a ruler to measure lengths. This week we will be measuring objects by placing them at different starting points on the ruler. For example, the rubber measures from 6cm to 9cm, how long is the rubber?
- Using mathematical operations to solve problems relating to length. For example,n'a toy car is 12cm long and a toy truck is 7cm longer, how long is the truck?'
- Regular Mathletics
- Regular TTRockstars
IPC:
- Learning about the importance of exercise and healthy eating
- Sorting food into different food groups and give examples of foods for each group
- Designing our own healthy meal. This could be completed creatively by making a collage using art materials
