Today in Maths we turned into great problem solvers. Miss Hall set us the challenge of finding as many fact family calculations for the calculation 4+3=7. We all put our thinking caps on, worked together and managed to find seven fact families. We found:
3+4=7
7-4=3
7-3=4
7=3+4
7=4+3
4=7-3
3=7-4
We have been discussing the equals sign in calculations being like a 'balance' and how what is on one side needs to be same as the other.
Miss Hall has set us a challenge of finding as many fact family calculations as possible. How many can you find for 6+2=8?
